Labyrinth Society of Lynden Sculpture Garden: New Moon Potluck + Intention Walk

Free to members or with admission to the sculpture garden, or if you volunteer to pull sweet clover out at the labyrinth from 5-6 pm.

Join us for a special interactive event with artist-in-residence Jenna Knapp. This event will celebrate the July new moon with a potluck and mini intention-setting workshop. The event will take place in and near Lynden’s new labyrinth, which has been carved into the prairie, just beyond the formal lawn, as part of Knapp’s residency.

As the new moon grows, your intention will too. It is believed that intentions and goals can come full circle within one cycle of the moon. From the new moon, to the full, to new again. The the new moon carries a positive energy filled with intention and purpose. We will hold space for you to set your intentions for this next lunar cycle — first on paper, then in the physical. We will activate our intentions through movement and walking as we adapt the ancient ritual of walking a labyrinth with intention through mindfulness, prayer, and meditation.

Bring a nourishing dish to pass. Vegan, gluten free, and other dietary restrictions welcome and encouraged. No nuts, please.

“Intention is one of the most powerful forces there is. What you mean when you do a thing will always determine the outcome.”
