Photography/Videography Policies
Due to copyright restrictions, visitor safety and access concerns, no commercial photography or videography is allowed on Lynden Sculpture Garden property without permission. Personal photography/videography with handheld equipment is permitted, but reproduction or publication of still or moving images of the house, permanent collection, gardens, grounds or temporary exhibitions is strictly prohibited (this includes posting images on the internet, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube or any other electronic/digital platform). Professional/commercial artists and photographers, as well as those doing personal special occasion photography, must receive permission to use the Lynden Sculpture Garden as a resource.
The Lynden Sculpture Garden is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting the enjoyment, understanding, and appreciation of art, sculpture and the environment through the exhibition of art and sculpture, educational experiences and connections with the community. Our grounds are offered to amateur and professional photographers, as well as artists, on a limited basis consistent with providing a pleasant experience for all visitors and protecting copyright laws and artists' rights. All photography/videography must be conducted during regular visiting hours without disruption to Lynden’s operations or limitation to the accessibility of exhibitions, entrances/exits, and high traffic areas. (Special arrangements outside of visiting hours can be made; additional fees will apply.) We reserve the right to refuse permission or terminate a shoot at any time if it is not in the best interest of guests, donors, artists represented in our collection, or it conflicts with the mission of the Lynden Sculpture Garden.
Photographs and video taken at the Lynden Sculpture Garden may not be used as self-promotion in any way, shape, or form. The Lynden Sculpture Garden reserves the right to approve final content for anything in which images of Lynden appear.
Professional, commercial and special occasion photography/videography is permitted by appointment only. Photographers are required to sign a Photography Agreement that states they will abide by the rules and guidelines set by the Lynden Sculpture Garden. Photography Agreements must be signed at least 7 days prior to the shoot. Photographers are prohibited from using photographs that contain any images of sculptures in the sculpture garden for promotional use in print or on a website; images are for media use or private use of the client only.
Fees may apply (see below). Where fees apply, a non-refundable deposit will be required at least 7 days in advance.
To request permission and schedule a photo/video shoot, please contact Polly Morris at pmorris@lyndensculpturegarden.org or 414.446.8794.
