Winter Homeschool Day: Take It Apart, Put It Back Together & The Treasures of a Winter Ecosystem
The Lynden Sculpture Garden offers Homeschool Days for children aged 6-15. Designed by art educator Jeremy Stepien and naturalist Naomi Cobb, these workshops integrate our collection of monumental outdoor sculpture with the natural ecology of 40 acres of park, ponds and woodland, creating a unique, hands-on, small-group experience of art and nature. Two workshop topics are offered each day, one focusing on three-dimensional artmaking and the other on the natural environment. Participants are divided by age, and switch between the appropriate two-hour workshops with a lunch break at midday. Parents are welcome to visit the grounds and house without charge.
