Winter Class Session & Weekly Art Drop-In Begin
The Lynden Sculpture Garden offers a variety of studio experiences for young people that integrate our collection of monumental outdoor sculpture with the natural ecology of 40 acres of park, ponds and woodland, creating a unique hands-on experience of art in nature. Taught by experienced art educators, studio activities focus on three-dimensional artmaking--though we will also do plenty of painting, drawing and collaging—and an age-appropriate understanding of media, processes and techniques.
This winter, in addition to offering an eight-week class session for younger children, we introduce our Weekly Art Drop-In, a program that enables children aged 6 through 12 to enjoy Lynden's studio without committing to a weekly class. We hope you like it!

Weekly Art Drop-In
January 22 through May 21, 2014
(no classes March 19 and April 16)
Wednesdays, 3-5:30 pm
Ages 6-12
$10/$8 members
Art Drop-In Card: Any 8 sessions for $56/$40 members
Drop in to our studio for informal art exploration. Come for 30 minutes or stay for 2 1/2 hours; visit weekly or stop by when you need an after-school activity; bring a friend or sibling or try it on your own. Each week we'll introduce different materials, processes and themes, and get you started on a project. Watch for occasional outdoor artmaking days, too.

Harking back to a simpler era of handmade games and toys, we will use clay, paint and mixed media to make our own three-dimensional diversions--guaranteed to cure the winter homebound blues.
