School's Out Workshop: Bird House

Lynden Sculpture Garden provides a wonderful habitat for local and migrating birds, as well as for visiting artists. During this workshop we will explore Lynden's avian habitats and learn about the Cornell Ornithology Lab's FeederWatch program. In the studio, we’ll take inspiration from the whimsical birdhouses made by French artist-in-residence Colombe Marcasiano. While these diminutive structures look like they could almost be homes for birds, they are really temporary sculptures--and that's what we'll make, too.
