Fall Tree Walk with Caitlin Reinartz

Free to members or with admission to the sculpture garden.

This workshop is part of Lynden's Garden Series, a series of workshops that takes a broad view of what it means to garden. Whether you consider yourself a backyard gardener, a forager, a farmer, or a steward of the land, the Garden Series will have something for you. From formal garden design to identifying and learning to use wild growing plants, we span a range of techniques and philosophies. Because of the range of subjects covered, these classes can be enjoyed by new and experienced gardeners alike.

Learn about the magnificent trees of Lynden with forester Caitlin Reinartz. On this walk you will learn about the physiological changes that trees go through in the fall, how to identify each species, and how each tree species fits into the larger ecosystem. Reinartz’s enthusiasm for trees is contagious, and she will open your eyes to this complex facet of the world around us.

About Caitlin Reinartz
Caitlin Reinartz is the forester at the Urban Ecology Center Riverside Park branch A childhood spent playing outside inspired her to work to preserve our region’s natural areas. She studied Forest Management at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and firmly believes that Wisconsin is the best and most beautiful state in the union.
