Reggie Wilson/Fist & Heel Performance Residency: June 22-July 11, 2026
The Reclamation performance: Saturday, July 11, 2026, 2 pm
Reggie Wilson and his dance company, Fist & Heel Performance Group, are returning to Lynden this summer for the fourth episode in a relationship that began many years ago. Working from a model developed in 2015, Wilson will be reimagining The Reclamation, his latest work, for outdoor performance at the Lynden. The Reclamation will be reworked to integrate a large intergenerational cast of local dancers and community members. Performers will receive a stipend of $600. The final performance is free and open to the public, so you can invite family and friends.
This is your opportunity to perform in The Reclamation with Reggie Wilson/Fist& Heel Performance Group at the Lynden Sculpture Garden this summer. We will be running two adult rehearsal groups during the three-week residency: one that meets daily, Monday-Friday, from 2-4 pm, and the other that meets from 6-8 pm. There will be additional/different times on July 9 and July 10, when we bring the groups together for tech and dress rehearsals. On the registration form, you will be able to choose one rehearsal group or the other; if you are flexible and could attend either, we will put you where you are most needed.
