Although not as flashy as the broad leafed flowing forbs, ornamental grasses and sedges have their own special charms. This field session will introduce you to the subtle, but still spectacular, shapes, colors, and textures of many ornamental and native grasses and sedges growing at Lynden. You will learn the unique sun, soil and moisture preferences of each plant so you can decide if and where they might work in your home landscape.
