Chuck Stebelton Residency

"I came to this brief residency at Lynden Sculpture with two goals. The first was a professional goal in my capacity as Program Director at Woodland Pattern Book Center. I wanted to pilot a residency program for visiting writers. This resulted in successful weeklong workshop retreats with Elizabeth Robinson the following summer and Rod Smith in the summer of 2012. The program now includes an early spring residency in addition to the summer residencies. My second goal was a personal, artistic one. I used the time to begin organizing a manuscript that resulted in the publication of my second full-length collection of poems, The Platformist, by the Cultural Society press."
