Linda Wervey Vitamvas: Indigenous Transience Farewell/Feast Welcome
Free to members or with admission to the sculpture garden.
Join artist-in-residence Linda Wervey Vitamvas as she bids farewell to Indigenous Transience and unveils her latest site-specific work, Feast.
Indigenous Transience, Wervey Vitamvas's outdoor installation from her 2010 exhibition Inside/Outside: Linda Wervey Vitamvas & Kevin Giese, is an I-beam topped with many small bowls made from local clay. To bid farewell to the piece, Wervey Vitamvas will be giving the bowls away to visitors.
Feast is the name Wervey Vitamvas has given to the series of ceramics experiments and explorations she will undertake throughout her year as an artist-in-residence at Lynden. She will also be teaching ceramics workshops at Lynden in the fall. For more information on Feast and Wervey Vitamvas's residency, click here.
