Art + Nature Lab for Ages 7-11

Fall 2023 Session II: (7 weeks) Thursdays, November 2-December 21, 2023 (no class 11/23) | 3:30-5:30 pm | $154/$112 members per 7-week session
Winter 2024 Session: (8 weeks) Thursdays, January 11-February 29, 2024 | 3:30-5:30 pm | $176/$128 members per 8-week session
Spring 2024 Session: (8 weeks) Thursdays, March 7-May 2, 2024 (no class 3/28) | 3:30-5:30 pm | $176/$128 members per 8-week session

Lynden’s Art + Nature Lab engages participants aged 7-11 in inquiry-based art and nature learning, problem solving, and creative making. Over the course of two eight-week sessions, art educator Jeremy Stepien will engage you in a series of art challenges and studio projects. Art + Nature Lab will meet indoors in the studio at Lynden with occasional excursions in the garden.

The three jurors who will be selecting the five recipients of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Mary L. Nohl Fund for Individual Artists Fellowships (2024) will give a public talk about their institutions and curatorial interests at the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University, 1234 W Tory Hill St, Milwaukee, WI 53233 (on the Marquette campus.) Come meet Allison Glenn, Independent Curator and Writer, New York, NY; Misa Jeffereis, Associate Curator, Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri; and Anisa Olufemi, Independent Curator and Fellowship Manager, Hamiltonian Artists, Washington, DC. The talk begins at 6:30 pm and is preceded by an informal reception.
