Stormwater infiltration gardens, better known as rain gardens, provide many benefits. They reduce flooding, filter runoff, provide habitat for wildlife including pollinator species like bees and butterflies, and beautify the landscape. In this workshop, Andy Yencha and Weston Wagner, Lynden's land managers, will teach you what you need to know to design, build and plant a successful rain garden on your own backyard. Following classroom activities, participants are invited to help plant Lynden's rain gardens with several new native species.
