Winter can appear to be a silent, frozen time--a call for hibernation and long naps. However, there are creatures out every day finding food, and quiet processes continue in the plants and ponds. We will track the mysteries of life in winter, using snow and ice as aids. Warming up in the studio, we’ll use animal tracks in the snow at Lynden as inspiration for a printmaking project, creating wintery diorama sculptures from our prints that tell stories of life in winter.
