If you are interested in performing, please register for the information session here. Come prepared to listen, converse, and move.

Reggie Wilson and his company are returning to Lynden this summer for the third episode in a relationship that began many years ago. Working from a model we developed with the choreographer, his company, and the Milwaukee community in 2015, when we reimagined MOSES(es), and refined in 2018, when we remade CITIZEN, Wilson will complete the trilogy by reimagining POWER, his latest work, for outdoor performance at the Lynden. POWER will be reworked to integrate a large intergenerational cast of local dancers and community members. POWER, like the previous productions, will take place within a constellation of related CALL & RESPONSE programs celebrating the radical Black imagination.

Those who wish to participate in POWER need to be available for daily rehearsals (M-F, 6-8 pm) from July 25-August 12, with performance the afternoon of August 13. Additional rehearsal time required August 11 and August 12. Performers will receive a stipend.

If you are an older dancer, mover, or community member, who would like to participate, please contact us at pmorris@lyndensculpturegarden.org or 414-446-8794.
