Summer Programs at the Intersection of Art and Nature

June 12-August 25, 2017

There is plenty going on at the Lynden Sculpture Garden in the summer months for day camps, preschools, and other programs, as well as for individual children. Programs take advantage of Lynden's unique experience of art in nature through its collection of more than 50 monumental sculptures sited across 40 acres of park, lake and woodland, located 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee.

Our field trips for the very young are ideal for children aged 3-7 and include Winged Ones, Tree Forms, and Pond Bingo.

Older children (aged 7-18) are invited to Make Spaces into Places by working with Lynden staff to build site-specific sculpture on the grounds, or can explore Cabinets of Curiosities through the work of Fo Wilson.

Groups from day camps and CLC's are welcome to spend time on their own exploring the garden and sculpture collection during a self-guided tour.

Combine a tour or field trip with a picnic and spend the day outdoors.

We also offer a range of summer day camps for children aged 20 months to 15 years.

Tuition waivers for individuals and subsidies and assistance with the cost of transportation for groups are available for our summer programs; awards are based on need. Please contact Jeremy Stepien, Director of Education, at jstepien@lyndensculpturegarden.org or 414-446-8481.
