Sacred Place/Sacred Dance

Free to members or with admission to sculpture garden.
This summer’s season of Yoga and Tai Chi Classes in the sculpture garden will culminate with Sacred Place / Sacred Dance, a synergistic performance piece with Yoga instructor Heather Eiden, Tai Chi instructor Angela Laughingheart, and musician Anthony Deutsch. With the landscape of the garden as a backdrop, the two instructors will demonstrate the distinctive energy patterns of their disciplines. Audience participation is voluntary and will include reading aloud of sacred texts from each discipline, and accompaniment of the performers on percussion instruments, which will be provided. Relevant art works created by the performers will also be on display in the viewing site. Post-performance conversation space will follow.
